A Case of Chronic Relapsing Cystitis

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : The purpose of this report is to record the effects of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment on Chronic Relapsing Cystitis.
Methods : This is a case report of female patient suffering from urinary disturbance based on the bladder stimulated. 28 years old woman diagnosed with chronic relapsing cystitis was enrolled in this study. She was treated with acupunctures at CV6(Qihai, 氣海), CV4(Guanyuan, 關元) and CV2(Qugu, 曲骨) for two weeks, seven times. During the treatments, we checked changes of symptoms.
Results : After acupuncture treatments, clinical symptoms of chronic relapsing cystitis and general conditions were improved.
Conclusion : This clinical case shows that acupuncture is effective in treatment of the chronic relapsing cystitis. More clinical data and studies are required for the treatment of chronic relapsing cystitis.
